However since Denis is one of my favorite directors, I"ve been very excited about it since the inital announcement. Earth still exists. It was hit by an asteroid, then was abandoned, allowed to recover naturally and was later turned into a park, with a few million humans to look after it. I actually love the "84 Dune. While I think Villeneuves adaptation must be and will be radically different, if I"d like to see anything retained, it"s elements of the Toto/Eno soundtrack. Zimmer can do his own thing too, but incorporating the Toto main theme and Eno"s Prophecy Theme in a new way (much like, for example, Zimmer adapted Tears in the Rain for Bladerunner 2049) would be awesome.

I don"t like it, Shaggy has been plated by the same person for ages it shouldn"t have changed. Disappointed. At least Frank Welker reprised his role as Scoob, right. Scooby free online. Scoob free 123 movies. It feels like people who didnt like the concept of Scooby doo made this movie. You know those type of people who think they know better than the actual fans of the franchise. They get a hold of the characters and make a movie unfaithful to the originals, because its how they wished it was, and theyre doing it for their own selfish desires rather than for the fans. Sure, kids might like this movie, and adults arent suppose to be the demographic, but I thought it was pretty obvious at this point theres a large amount of adults that like cartoons. Even those who dont, at least have this nostalgic connection to Scooby Doo specifically, because they grew up watching it. It wasnt like it was a seventies show and then disappeared for 40 years. Its constantly been a household title for people of all ages. There wasnt some consensus that the series was losing its touch either, nothing to warrant completely scrapping its premise at least. What Im trying to say is there was no good reason to reboot Scooby Doo. Its clear that the creators dont respect the source material and are doing a real disservice to Hanna-Barbera and their characters, including the obscure ones they threw into this movie. All they care about is money, and theyre desecrating the Hanna-Barbera name to get it. I realize some of the workers and creators on this movie probably thought they were making something great, but sadly they were naive to think this is what the viewers wanted. And those who knew better were outnumbered by the ignorant and by the capitalists. Its sad to see household names like Scooby doo taking hits because of the reboot mentality in Hollywood. I just cant wait for this whole fad to be over with.

Outside of Raja Gosnell"s garish live-action films (which play like hip reinventions but also behave as if we"d be closely familiar with those iterations of the Mystery Inc. gang, hence the melancholy of their split-up early in the 2002 movie) the Scooby-Doo franchise has been pretty consistent in entertainment value.
It hasn"t always been great, nor have the monsters always been criminals in suits (see Zombie Island or the 13 Ghosts saga, finished last year with an overdue finale) but it"s almost always lovable, particularly with how self-aware it"s gotten after Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and the string of movies that started coming out around the same time. With Warner Animation Group"s new film Scoob! I confess that things seem off again. There"s always something strange about Scooby"s theatrical runs, even as this one eventually ended up on VOD for obvious reasons.
For starters, it forsakes franchise-long casting traditions in favor of hot, marketable celebrities, including Zac Efron, who replaces Frank Welker as Fred, even though Welker was right effin" there as the voice of Scooby (whose vocals he has supplied in almost every piece of Scoob media since Don Messick"s death, apart from such films as the live-action series, Zombie Island, and that one Johnny Bravo episode. The more recent meta-humor usually had timeless observations and, if not, was strangely in-tune with modern memes; now the jokes are wannabe-hip at the risk of aging poorly (see the absurdist John Cena cameo vs. the new film"s references to Netflix, DJ Khaled, social media, and dabbing.
The film also does the "cinematic universe" thing made famous by Marvel, but I will be fair to Warner: this isn"t the first time the classic Hanna-Barbera characters have been shown to inhabit pretty much the same reality. Remember when Fred Flintsone met the Jetsons? Or Wacky Races? Hell, Scooby once fought crime with Batman - you just know there"s gonna be a sequel wherein Scrappy-Doo pits the two against each other while he"s off creating Doomsday.
This means that, in addition to Will Forte as the cowardly Shaggy (Not even Lillard is safe. Gina Rodriguez as the hyper-intelligent Velma, and Amanda Seyfried as tough but airheaded Daphne, the rest of the cast includes characters like Dinomutt (Ken Jeong) his partner-in-crime-fighting The Blue Falcon (Mark Whalberg) one of the Teen Angels (Kiersey Clemons) and even Captain Caveman (Tracy Morgan) who makes even less sense to me. Is he there because Scoob joins forces with The Flintstones in the next movie? I know he was in other shows but I mainly know him from The Flinstone Kids.
I forgot one: Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly, the Wacky Races antagonist who became the lead character of Stop the Pigeon (as it is colloquially known) years later. His convoluted scheme involves a Greek-mythological "dogpocalypse" hence why Dynomutt arrives to enlist Scooby and friends for their greatest adventure yet. I dunno, I kinda miss solving mysteries and unmasking con men. We couldn"t have saved this for a future crossover?
Scoob himself also speaks more fluently than most of us will be used to, and liberties are taken with his origins. This is mainly a warning to whoever cares deeply about Scooby-Doo lore, but it does speak to how insincere the movie feels. Its Hanna-Barbera references are cute but it doesn"t play like it"s a real Scooby-Doo film as much as it simply uses the marketable characters (vaguely understood as they may be) to tell a "cooler" story. The prologue is promising enough, full of callbacks, ghosts, and Hanna-Barbera sound effects. Then the actual movie gets going.
Regardless, you and the family might have fun with it. The animation, although the shift from 2D to 3D is unneeded, isn"t restricted by excessively hyperrealistic rendering. The characters inhabit a more three-dimensional space, but they"re allowed to move as energetically as the heroes of Astérix. Characters can still move quickly and humorously whilst also being insanely well-rendered, of course, but it might result in the odd mix of cartoonishness and realism I discussed re: Onward (probably before then, as well; I repeat myself a lot.

I always wondered where that paradoom took superboy after he killed him. If only The Question could have been in this universe, he could have ran those damn parademons over with his car like he did in Justice League Unlimited. Lol. The girl who played yue in this also voiced Asami Sato in LoK and I think that"s the only decent thing to come out of this movie. So promising, but they have done it wrong... You clearly forgot this show was for kids... When I was a kid, I remember my favorite episode was when Aang turned into Giant Bear Water, and Episode with Ba Sing Se became my less favorite episode because it had less Appa and less bending, but much talking... Kids love something funny, silly, bending, power, imagination, I guess... Just my opinion. For now, I agree with yours. But When I was a kid, It"s different. Long Feng LITERALLY rules with a stone fist. Join me and we could rule the ga that killed me. Oh boy! They"re finally covering this series, but in the spirit of this channel I"m going to have to give them a sin for waiting so long and only covering it because Netflix only just recently added this to their streaming service. Like to add another sin for doing this episode instead of The Great Divide.

Here we are again. sigh THEY CALLED HIM UUG It"s pronounced AYE NOT UUH. Aang. There is one thing I noticed: “nice Zuko costume, but the scar is on the wrong side”. Well. this sucks. My favorite show. I never could have seen anything wrong with it. One could argue that the first season, much like the characters, are inexperienced. And overtime, it improves just like the characters. Aang, at the start, is a child. By the end he has grown and matured through his experiences. And each one following upwards of the first season, got longer and more challenging than the last. It"s not to say you"re wrong, it was probably that the writers and directors weren"t expecting it to kick off the way it did, and then later found out that it was a better to tell a longer storyline over the course of a several episodes or a vs singular story arcs per episode.

Last of a once powerful nation WTF is this riddick. the air nomads were peaceful not powerful. I remember watching this show as a kid and I loved it, but now I can really appreciate the amazing writing/characters. Now let"s all agree, to never be creative again. To think that i actually once liked this. something was wrong with that younger me.

I was watching this and sneezed three times, perfectly timed with him saying not one bit. When Devo threw out the detonator was a great scene. This movie will beat Endgame collections if it released now.

I just finished this rewatches the whole trilogy and I tried so hard to hold back my tears of joy and sadness when Alfred nods and Bruce. I"d absolutely love to watch the 3 movies in theatre again. Run them in a row, special event, it would make a killing again.
